“Mezaparka Offices” receives internationally recognized BREEAM sustainability performance certificate

DOMUSS projects continue their journey towards a greener future, and after several months of intensive work, another building, “Mezaparka Offices,” has obtained the internationally recognized BREEAM In-Use certificate with an EXCELLENT rating

Noteworthy achievements include not only the overall high score of 75.4% but also the individual category performances:

• Resilience – 94.44%: innovative or high-performance features utilized in any category, sur-passing standard requirements
• Health and Wellbeing – 89.36%: enhancement of occupants’ health, comfort, safety, and overall quality of life
• Energy – 80.95%: efficient energy utilization and management, as well as carbon emissions reduction
• Materials – 87.50%: responsible sourcing, supply, and utilization of construction materials

The building is included in the GreenBook Live Global database of sustainable certifications, encompassing the best examples of sustainable projects worldwide. In the competition among 27 properties that have received BREEAM sustainability certificates in the Offices segment in Latvia, “Mezaparka Offices” secures the 2nd position, trailing the 1st place by only 1.2%. In the overall competition among the 65 listed properties in Latvia, it achieves an impressive 7th place.

The collaborative work of DOMUSS and the consultants was recognized as highly qualitative and professional – the certificate was obtained without any BREEAM QA audit observations or requests for clarification.

The BREEAM certified rating reflects the performance achieved by the project and its stakeholders, comparing it to BREEAM standards and benchmarks. The BREEAM In-Use certification assessment allows the comparison of operational real estate projects and provides con-fidence in their performance and quality. For over 30 years, it has been the most widely used methodology worldwide for assessing sustainability and green thinking.
The acquisition of this certificate further motivates the DOMUSS team to continue their ef-forts and advocate for a shared vision of a sustainable and green future.
